Our used cooking oil power generator was the first in Okinawa and had the second largest output (at the time) in Japan. It was mentioned in various media all over Japan and many people from different fields came to visit it, from students and university professors to politicians and JICA trainees from overseas.
We currently collect approximately 2,500,000 liters of used cooking oil annually from about 1,000 suppliers (chains with multiple stores are counted as a single supplier). Encouraged by the success of the power generation business, we decided to invest an additional 130 million yen in December 2017 to increase the volume of our power generation output. The new operation is scheduled to start in start in May 2018, making us one of the leaders in the used cooking oil recycling industry, not just in Okinawa but in all of Japan.
